Welcome to my blog! I've kept notes for many years--both on paper and in my noggin' about the treasured times in my growing up years in a small town in Oklahoma. Life in the 60s seemed complicated to me. But as I reflect on that time I realize how much simpler everything was. The color gray was in my box of Crayolas to be used to color an elephant or storm cloud. It was not used to color our decisions or actions. A man or woman's word stood as good and friendliness was shown by the tip of a hat or a warm greeting by the clerk in the five and dime.
I will be reflecting on lessons learned growing up as a small town chick. Living as a city girl since college, I discovered quickly that the lessons I learned in small town America would drive my decisions and choices every day of my life.
